Awarding ceremony of the doctors in the Russia’s Ministry of the Interior Chief Clinical Hospital

On November, 10, the Day of the Russia’s Ministry of the Interior officers, the delegation of the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Charitable Foundation together with actors of the Russkaya Opera Theatre visited the Rassia’s Ministry of the Interior Chief Clinical Hospital that hosted the ceremony of conferring the Foundation medals and orders upon the hospital doctors for outstanding charity service.
The Foundation Awards – the order and the medal – were established in 2004 and registered by Heraldic Council to the President of the Russian Federation. The question on establishment of the order was solved only after numerous miraculous appearances which happened after the celebration of the nativity of St Nicholas the Wonderworker, Bishop of Myra in Lycia was officially resumed by the Russian Orthodox Church and the world’s biggest (at the moment) bronze monument to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in Anadyr City on Chukchi Peninsula was unveiled. Orders and medals of St Nicholas the Wonderworker are awarded to the Russian and foreign citizens for their outstanding service in the spheres of spiritual education and upbringing of the rising generation, orthodox missionary work, strengthening the Christian morality, works of mercy and charity for the benefit of persons needed assistance.
The St Nicholas the Wonderworker, Bishop of Myra Order was awarded to:

- Tatyana Avdeyeva
- Yevgeny Zhilyayev
- Andrey Frolov
- Vladimir Glabay
Prayer services for the laureates’ health were ordered to ten Russian churches and ten Russian cloisters for a period of one year.
The medal of the St Nicholas the Wonderworker, Bishop of Myra Order was awarded to the following doctors:
- Nadezhda Postnova
- Sergey Tsuranov
- Yuliya Kunkina
- Lyubov Shemyakina
- Lyudmila Sobolyeva
- Aleksandr Tkachyov
- Viktor Lebedev
Prayer services for the laureates’ health were ordered to ten Russian cloisters for a period of one year.
Besides orders and medals twenty workers of the hospital received cash bonuses.
The head of the Foundation Award Department Admiral V.Y.Selivanov ran the ceremony.
In the concluding part the whole staff of the Russia’s Ministry of the Interior Chief Clinical Hospital was awarded with the merit certificate from the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Charitable Foundation.
After that there was a holiday concert organized by the Russkaya Opera Theatre. The soloists of the theatre Nadezhda Nivinskaya, Sergey Moskalkov, Alina Shakirova, Lyudmila Vorobyova and Yury Baranov played arias from famous classic operas and Russian love songs. The audience enthusiastically welcomed the singers. The contact between the singers and the audience created very agreeable and cosy atmosphere.
At the end Deputy Chief for Personnel A.Y.Kuznetsov on behalf of the hospital administration presented the Foundation staff with a Merit Certificate.
